For Fall/Winter 2008, the Levi's® Watches Collection taps into the current trend for oversize timepieces, with a old collection of uncompromising style for guys and girls.
Drawing its inspiration from the iconic roots of the Levi's® brand, the Collection is youthful and sexy take on the brand heritage, with rivets, buttons and double stitching as recurring elements. The style is rough and simple, with subtle details that relate the watches to jeans and clothing design. At the core of the Levi's® Watches Collection, oversize square stainless steel watch cases in signature Levi's® red, or blue, yellow, gold, silver and black and their perfect match in fine Italian leather, metal or rubber wrist bands.
The big eye catcher of the season is "Mix Tape", a stainless steel watch with a rectangular dial inspired by vintage music cassette tape. Taking a cue from fashion's current obsession with the 1980s, this original and ironic timepiece is certainly designed for the young – in body and in mind.
Marking a departure from the strong unisex offer of the Levi's® Watches Collection, this season Levi's® debuts three very feminine styles. Balancing smooth lines with the tough utilitarian inspiration typical of all Levi's® designs, these watches combine strength and sass. One of the key styles is a rounded and very feminine watch with a vintage flavour. The wrist chain reveals the resilient soul of this design, combining stainless steel and fine Italian leather in a tough, stylish mix. An iconic black and white advertising campaign signed by New York base fashion photographer David Vasiljevic will accompany the launch of the Levi's® Fall/Winter 2008 Watches Collection as of September 2008.
The Collection will be distributed in 20 countries across Europe through specialised watches and jewellery stores, fashion stores and Levi's® Stores (distribution may vary by country).
